Dan Gustafson brings a detail-oriented leadership to the J.A. Wagner Construction team with his 37 years of commercial construction experience. His career is built on a 24-year foundation with a general contractor, completing his apprenticeship, worked as field carpenter and foreman for 12 years before transitioning into a project management role. For the past 25 years, Dan has focused on commercial construction project oversight, including a dedicated 13-year tenure in steel erection management. This comprehensive “tools-to-timeline” background allows him to bridge the gap between architectural vision and field execution with precision and authority.
Dan has two adult children and believes that being called “Dad” is the best title. Away from work he is a collegiate and travel softball umpire, a role that reflects his ability to make fair and decisive calls under pressure. When he isn’t on the field or the job site, he enjoys snowmobiling and staying true to his roots by tackling home improvement projects for himself and his family.
